Who can use Carelink.vet?

Carelink.vet is available to licensed veterinary clinics in Ontario and across Canada. Each participating clinic manages its own wellness plans, pricing, and coverage.

Carelink.vet integrates seamlessly with Stripe, a secure and globally trusted payment processor.
Each participating clinic sets up its own individual Stripe account, ensuring full ownership of client payments and transparency.

Stripe’s standard processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) apply. These fees are automatically deducted by Stripe and do not go to Carelink.vet.

No. Carelink.vet does not take any percentage or commission from your payments.
All transaction fees are charged directly by Stripe during payment processing.

No. Carelink.vet operates in full compliance with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) guidelines.
There are no monetary incentives, referral commissions, or payments tied to using Carelink.vet or referring clients to our partner veterinary emergency hospitals.
Participation in the program is voluntary and independent.

By enrolling in a Carelink wellness plan, clients receive discounts and wellness perks from their primary veterinarian, as well as additional discounts for emergency care and advanced diagnostics at our partner veterinary hospitals, including Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital.

These benefits may include:

  • Reduced fees for routine and preventive care at their home clinic.

  • Exclusive discounts on emergency services and advanced procedures such as ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy, and hospitalization at partner hospitals.

  • Streamlined access to emergency support, giving pet owners peace of mind knowing their care continues beyond your regular clinic hours.

For participating clinics, offering Carelink wellness plans provides a competitive edge — it demonstrates that your practice not only focuses on preventive care but also ensures your clients are covered and supported for emergencies when they arise.

The level and scope of discounts depend on the plan tier and coverage structure you choose through Carelink.vet.

Yes. Each participating clinic can fully customize its plans — including plan names, pricing, duration, included services, coverage limits, and discounts.
Carelink.vet’s onboarding team will guide you through this setup during your intake and configuration process.

Once your plans are configured, Carelink.vet provides:

  • A unique enrollment link for your website or social media, and

  • Optional QR codes for easy sign-ups in your clinic.

Clients can subscribe online in minutes, with payments processed securely through Stripe.

Each clinic maintains full control of its client relationships.
Carelink.vet facilitates the technical setup and payment processing but does not intervene in billing disputes, cancellations, or refund requests.
However, our team provides guidance and best practices for managing these situations.

Carelink.vet complies with Canadian privacy and data protection laws.
All sensitive data (including payment information) is encrypted and handled securely through Stripe’s PCI-certified platform.
Carelink.vet does not store or access client banking data.

Once your intake form is submitted, the Carelink team typically completes configuration and review within 3–5 business days.
You will receive your custom plan links, Stripe setup instructions, and marketing materials for launch.

If you decide to stop using Carelink.vet, your access to the platform dashboard, wellness plan management tools, and integrated Stripe account will be discontinued. This means you will no longer be able to manage, update, or process payments for existing wellness plans through Carelink.vet.

Your clients’ active subscriptions will need to be canceled or transitioned manually before closing your account to ensure a smooth process.

That said, our team will always do everything possible to keep you satisfied — providing technical support, updates, and customization options — because our goal is to make Carelink.vet an invaluable long-term partner for your clinic’s success.

Yes — Carelink.vet is a Dr. Vetamin initiative, developed to support independent veterinary clinics with modern, compliant tools for client engagement and financial growth.
However, each participating clinic remains independent and autonomous in its operation.
